District Skill Development Centres (DSDC)
District Skill Development Centre is a scheme designed and implemented by the Department of Labour and Skills with the intention of creating opportunities for skill development for various sections of people from different backgrounds, including those from rural backgrounds. As the responsibility of strengthening the skill ecosystem of the state is vested upon KASE by virtue of its designation of State Skill Development Mission and State Skill Secretariat, KASE has designed the District Skill Development Centres as a permanent system for better planning of skill training, taking into account the needs of the employers and the preferences of the job seekers to address the local labor complexities at the district level. District Skill Development Centres ensure skill training at local levels in various domains and also act as district-level facilitation centers for providing skill information of the district. At present, five District Skill Development Centres are functioning across the state. The following are the centers in various districts.
