Nursing Institute for Career Enhancement (NICE), the Centre of Excellence in Nursing, is a first-of-its-kind initiative in India which provides world-class training facilities for the enhancement of employability skills in nurses. KASE partnered with M/s. Trivandrum Specialists Hospitals Pvt. Ltd. to set up the Centre of Excellence in Nursing at KINFRA International Apparel Park, Thiruvananthapuram. The Centre is operational since 2nd July 2015 and offers a varied range of courses. The NICE programme is an additional nursing enhancement programme which is tailor-made for certified graduate or diploma qualified nurses.

Modern medicine is based on evidence based practices which comprise of quality & safety, infection prevention & control, emergency and critical care. NICE is a skill enhancement programme for nurses that integrate all these into a single curriculum. Nurses from NICE acquire internationally best practices, relevant skill training in infection prevention and control, quality and patient safety, basic and advanced cardiac life support (BLS, ACLS), emergency and critical care nursing, nursing documentation, along with training in soft skills and communication, personality development, cultural adaptation and work ethics. Nurses will also be trained for government licensing exams.
